Our first LINK nky Team of the Week is the Campbell Co. Camels – NKY Youth Football League – Midgets Division.
In our new weekly poll, the young Camels claimed more than 80% of the vote.
According to the individual who nominated the team, the Camels overcame adversity in their loss a couple weekends ago to complete the game despite high temperatures and the ejection of two coaches.
We also congratulate the other nominees from our first week: the NKU men’s and women’s cross country teams, Covington Catholic’s and Ryle’s football teams, and the Villa Madonna volleyball team.
Our weekly honor is open to all local sports teams at all levels, from youth to recreational to high school to college to pro and beyond.
On Sundays, we open the nomination form, and then start the voting on Tuesdays, with the winner announced on Friday.
At the end of each season, we’ll name a ‘Team of the Season’.
