We enter year three of partnering up with OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in expanding the Team of the Week awards!
Through the first two years, $4,000 in scholarships have been handed out to the Team of the Season and Team of the Year award winners.
In order to get to that point, it starts here with the weekly Team of the Week awards.
In the same fashion as year’s past, the weekly TOW winners will then be eligible for Team of the Season. It’s typically 10 winners from that respective season that runs for fall, winter and spring sports. The Team of the Season vote comes at the end of those respective seasons where the winner is awarded a plaque and a $500 scholarship to a student-athlete of their choice.
Then it comes down to the ultimate prize…Team of the Year where the three Team of the Season winners will then be put up in a vote for another plaque for the trophy case and an additional $500 scholarship to a student-athlete of their choice.

Beechwood Volleyball
Claimed a second straight All “A” state title as they went 6-0 over the weekend in Owensboro. It improved their record to 18-1 on the season.
Bishop Brossart Football
Won a 21-20 grinder over Nicholas County in which they stopped a two-point conversion in the closing minutes of the game.
Cooper Girls Soccer
Secured wins over St. Henry and Conner last week to improve their record to 4-4-2 on the season.
Conner Volleyball
Conner won four games last week which extended their winning streak to seven, improving to 12-5 on the season.
