CINCINNATI, Ohio (May 8, 2026) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati celebrated the achievements of its graduating seniors with the launch of its inaugural “Senior Signing Day” on May 7 at its Workforce Development Center in Price Hill, located at 1205 Dewey Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45205.
Modeled after traditional athletic signing days, the event recognized 14 high school seniors from across the organization’s Clubs as they committed to their next steps, which include college, trade school, military service and career opportunities.
During the ceremony, each of nine of the 14 graduating seniors was recognized individually, and publicly “signed” to represent their future plans, surrounded by family members, mentors and Club staff who have supported them along the way.
Several standout seniors who exemplify the impact of the Clubs’ programming and signed at the event include:
• Braylon Griffin, with the Clem & Ann Buenger Club and 2026 BGCGC Youth of the Year runner up, will attend Gateway Community & Technical College;
• Hon’essty James, with the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center and 2026 BGCGC Youth of the Year winner, will attend the University of Cincinnati to study psychology;
• Adriana Jackson, with the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center, 2025 BGCGC Youth of the Year finalist, member of the National Honors Society and Honor Roll awardee, will attend the University of Cincinnati;
• Aster Gilmore, with the Jeff Wyler Club, a member of the marching band, national honor society and track team, will attend Indiana University;
• Jaevion Robertson, with the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center and JROTC cadet at Aiken High School, will enlist in the U.S. Navy;
• Dreson McLaurin, with the Clem & Ann Buenger Club, will attend Northern Kentucky University and plans to major in architectural engineering with a minor in graphic design;
• Lily Workman, with the Jeff Wyler Club, a Youth of the Year nominee who has received several Club awards for doing so well academically and being kind to her peers, will attend Northern Kentucky University; and
• Malachi Seymoure, with the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center, will join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
These teens, amongst others, demonstrate the diverse futures being shaped through the Clubs’ support.
“Senior Signing Day is about putting our teens front and center and celebrating everything they’ve worked toward,” said Bill Bresser, the BGCGC CEO. “We’re proud of all our teens’ success and will continue to cheer for them as they exit our Clubs and begin the next stage in their lives.”
The event reflected the organization’s emphasis on preparing youth for life beyond high school, including expanded workforce development initiatives and ongoing academic support programs.
Students participating in the event represented a wide range of post-graduation paths, from higher education to military service, underscoring the diverse opportunities available to Club members.
While this year marks the first formal Senior Signing Day, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati hopes to grow the event into an annual tradition celebrating the accomplishments of graduating seniors across the region.
