LifeSciKY, Kentucky’s nonprofit lab incubator, has welcomed Tyler Egloff as its newest Innovation Fellow. This role offers undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience in the life sciences industry, allowing them to work on impactful projects alongside industry leaders, gaining real-world insights and building industry connections.

Tyler is a senior at Northern Kentucky University pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Neuroscience. He has focused his education on Human-Computer Interaction and Bioinformatics and while in this fellowship role, will be able to further his research.

Tyler’s connection to LifeSciKY was made through NKU’s Norse Network Hub, which connects students to employers and turns those connections into real-world experience and career opportunities. LifeSciKY’s partnership with NKU will help give students hands-on experience in Kentucky’s growing life sciences and innovation ecosystem.

“Tyler’s multidisciplinary background and focus on bioinformatics reflect the kind of forward-thinking talent we aim to support at LifeSciKY,” said Dr. Christin Godale, executive director, LifeSciKY. “Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators, and Tyler’s curiosity, research-driven mindset, and commitment to advancing technology in the life sciences space make him a strong addition to our growing fellowship program.”

LifeSciKY is dedicated to empowering future innovators and connecting students to transformative experiences. The nonprofit’s Fellowship Program is part of its mission to establish a pipeline of future scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovators who will shape Kentucky’s life sciences economy.

“I wanted to be part of LifeSciKY because I believe in the mission of the organization and want to help the growing body of researchers based in Northern Kentucky wherever I can,” Egloff said. “I’ve been inspired by the organization’s meaningful impact on Northern Kentucky, and I’m excited for the opportunity to give back by supporting this work.”
