Northern Kentucky University President Cady Short-Thompson is set to speak at the NKY Young Professionals Lunchtime Leader Chat.
Running from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at the NKU Student Union, young professionals throughout the region will have the opportunity to engage with Short-Thompson.
The Lunchtime Leader Chat series offers an exclusive opportunity for young professionals in Northern Kentucky to connect with regional civic business leaders who share professional development tips, lessons learned, industry insights, and personal mantras. The series is organized by the NKY Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals group.
“Nearly three years into her tenure at NKU, Dr. Short-Thompson has made a tremendous impact on our region, especially when it comes to preparing the next generation of young professionals for successful lives and careers post-college,” NKY Chamber Director of Events Kyle Frizzell said in a news release. “We look forward to hearing her story and career insights and advice that are applicable not only to young professionals, but everyone, no matter where they are in their career journeys.”
Short-Thompson was named NKU’s president in October 2023. Prior to that, she spent 14 years in academia and the nonprofit sector.
Short-Thompson currently serves on numerous regional boards of directors, including for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, BE NKY Growth Partnership, Holocaust and Humanity Center, Horizon League, Life Learning Center, OneNKY Alliance, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, among others.
