The Kenton County Public Library has officially kicked off its summer reading program. Dubbed “Summer Reading Detectives,” the program invites students to solve a mystery throughout the summer by reading books, keeping track of their progress and attending library events. The library kicked off the program, which runs from June 1 to July 31, on Friday at its Erlanger branch.

“Pick up your reading log, track your progress and start building your case,” the library’s webpage on the program reads. “Earn rewards as you read, complete challenges and take part in themed programs that bring the mystery to life. The more you read, the closer you get to closing the case.”

More events will be hosted at the different library branches throughout the summer. Learn more at kentonlibrary.org/SRC, and check out some photos of Friday’s kickoff event below.
