COVINGTON, KY — Rosedale Green Nursing Home will host a meaningful tribute on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, to honor 14 of its residents who dedicated their careers to the nursing profession. The ceremony will begin at 11:15 a.m. in the Community Room at Rosedale Green, located at 4250 Glenn Avenue, Covington, KY 41015.

The event will feature the Northern Kentucky Nurses Honor Guard, an all-volunteer group of active and retired nurses committed to recognizing and honoring their colleagues. While the group most often participates in memorial services throughout the region—including at St. Elizabeth Hospice—this special ceremony celebrates the lives and contributions of retired nurses now residing at Rosedale Green.

Each honored resident will receive a Florence Nightingale lamp, a symbolic tribute representing compassion, dedication, and the enduring spirit of nursing.

“This ceremony is a beautiful way to recognize the legacy of care these individuals have given throughout their lives,” said event organizers. “Their impact reaches far beyond the bedside, and we are honored to celebrate them in this meaningful way.”

The event was spearheaded by Terry Foster, RN, a member of the NKY Nurses Honor Guard and Rosedale Green Board Member, alongside Amanda Moore, Assistant Director of Nursing at Rosedale Green.

Following the ceremony, residents, families, and guests will gather for a special lunch and cake reception in celebration of the honorees.

Rosedale Green is a nonprofit senior care community serving Northern Kentucky, known for its person-directed approach and commitment to creating a home-like environment for residents.
