Highland Heights Mayor Greg Meyers Will Seek Another Term
Highland Heights, December 16, 2025.
Mayor Greg Meyers has announced his campaign for re-election to serve as the Mayor of Highland Heights in the 2026 fall election. After serving 4 years on the City of Highland Heights Planning and Zoning Commission and 4 years on City Council, Meyers was elected Mayor in 2006 and has served in that position ever since. “It has been the highlight of my life to serve this community and I feel I have a lot left to give with a lot of great initiatives still in the works,” Meyers said.
During Meyers time in office, he played a pivotal role in the annexation of Northern Kentucky University, oversaw the construction of the City Hall campus, and brokered economic development projects that brought new retail and food establishments to the heart of the city’s business district.
Meyers navigated the city through the difficult Covid-19 pandemic, during that time Meyers worked with the State of Kentucky and NKU to open Opportunity House, which provides a supportive environment for young adults to reach their educational and career goals and leads to labor market success. This continues Mayor Meyers initiative to provide all types of housing for the community, including his most passionate development, the construction of Highland Village. This premier senior luxury living housing provides and affordable option for residents of Highland Heights with top-notch amenities.
Meyers is seeking another term in office to complete other goals the city has been working towards and wants to see through. These goals include improved pedestrian transportation means through new sidewalks, especially on the northern stretch of US-27. He also wants to see a pedestrian bridge connecting both sides of the business community across US-27, and of course continue to advocate and work on housing initiatives.
Meyers has been a resident of Highland Heights since 1977.
