ort Thomas Forest Conservancy will hold its annual Earth Day celebration in Fort Thomas’s historic Tower Park on April 27, 2025 from noon-4pm. This event, over the last six years, has grown into the largest Earth Day event in Northern Kentucky. Earth Day is celebrated across the country and in 193 countries around the world. Fort Thomas’s Earth Day event is an opportunity to bring people together to celebrate nature, to play, and to learn more about living in ways that will sustain the natural environment for generations to come.
With a focus on interactive displays and activities, the event will host more than 50 vendors and exhibitors. Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance will lead an interpretive hike teaching sustainable trail design concepts, Campbell County YMCA will lead yoga on the lawn, Fort Thomas Tree Commission will distribute five different species of tree saplings, Homegrown on Haubner Hill will provide hands-on instruction on germinating flower seeds, Rumpke Recycling will exhibit on their expanded recycling systems, Urban Canopy Works will present on the value of trees in cities, Natural Start Pre-School will provide space, materials and instruction for children to make mandalas from natural materials….these are only some of the activities that will make this event fun and educational for the whole family.
The event will also feature food and drink trucks and live music (Caileen Tallant from noon-2pm and Doug Hatt with Fresh Baked Bluegrass from 2-4pm). Additional information at ftfc.org.
