Kelly Schneider Morgan and Tim Morgan

Wilder, Kentucky – Barleycorn’s Brewhouse is excited to announce a partnership with Schneider’s Sweet Shop, a longtime favorite in Bellevue, Kentucky. In celebration of Schneider’s 85th anniversary and Barleycorn’s 50th, a special beer inspired by Schneider’s Cherry Ice Ball with Ice Cream has been crafted. This limited-edition brew, called Schneider’s 85th Anniversary Ale, was created by Barleycorn’s brewmaster, Shane Trego, and will be available for the first time at a Tapping Party on September 16th at 6 PM at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse in Wilder, KY.

In keeping with the community-focused spirit of both brands, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of Schneider’s 85th Anniversary Ale will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Cincinnati, supporting local youth programs.

“The community means everything to us,” said Kelly Morgan, third-generation owner of Schneider’s Sweet Shop. “Carrying on 85 years of Schneider family history and sweet traditions is something we’re very proud of.”

Jay Shelton, CEO of Barleycorn’s Brewhouse, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We are honored to work with Schneider’s Sweet Shop, a local legend that has brought joy to so many families over the years. This partnership is a perfect way to celebrate our shared commitment to quality and community.”

The Tapping Party at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse will serve as a kickoff to the larger celebration, which continues with Schneider’s 85th Anniversary Block Party on Saturday, September 21st, from 12 PM to 5 PM in Bellevue, KY. This event, co-hosted by the City of Bellevue, Barleycorn’s Brewhouse, Fesslers Pizza, Gold Star Chili, Script Coffee, and The Boys & Girls Club of Cincinnati, promises a day filled with fun for the entire family.

The Block Party will feature live music by Ben Walz and The Turkeys, door prizes from local Bellevue businesses, and a Schneider’s Kids Play Zone with activities like coloring, crafts, and balloons. Attendees can explore historic Bellevue Avenue, enjoying food, music, beer, and, of course, all of Schneider’s famous treats. Barleycorn’s Brewhouse will be serving Schneider’s 85th Anniversary Ale at the event.
