Covington Police have identified a suspect in a shooting that occurred outside of Hat Tricks bar early in the morning on Sunday: 44-year-old Cincinnati resident Franklin Smith, who is still at-large and “should be considered armed and dangerous,” according to a Covington Police statement Wednesday afternoon.

Sunday night’s shooting resulted in a man being transported to UC Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds.

Wednesday’s statement is the first time since the shooting the police have informed the public of a suspect. Smith is pictured below. He has a distinctive sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

Anyone who spots Smith should not approach him; call 911, instead.
