C-FAIR, the Political Action Committee of the Fairness Campaign, announced a record 121 candidate endorsements in the Kentucky General Election and endorsed “No” on both proposed constitutional amendments.

The Fairness Campaign advocates on behalf of LGBT-related issues and people.

The endorsements include candidates for Kentucky State Senate and House all across the commonwealth, the Bowling Green city commission, the Rowan County Clerk, municipal and county-wide seats in Louisville and Lexington, and dozens of judicial races.

The Kentucky General Election is Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Here are the candidates endorsed by the PAC in NKY races.

Constitutional Amendments

Amendment 1 – No. This amendment would allow the legislature to call itself into special session. Currently, only the governor has this power.

Amendment 2 – No. This would add language to the Kentucky constitution banning the procedure of abortion.

KY Senate – District 24

Rene Heinrich (D). Heinrich is running against Republican Shelley Funke Frommeyer for the open seat.

KY House – District 61

Debby Angel (D). Angel is running against incumbent Rep. Savannah Maddox (R-Dry-Ridge).

KY House – District 65

Buddy Wheatley (D-incumbent). Wheatley is challenged by Republican Stephanie Dietz.

KY House – District 67

Rachel Roberts (D-incumbent). Roberts is challenged by Republican Jerry Gearding.

KY House – District 69

Chris Brown (D). Brown is running against Republican Steve Doan, who defeated incumbent Rep. Adam Koenig in the May primary.

KY Supreme Court – District 6

Michelle Keller (incumbent). Keller is challenged by Joe Fischer, currently a Republican state representative from Fort Thomas.
