This spring, LINK business reporter Kenton Hornbeck and I launched a new podcast, Mind Your Business, NKY.
We’ve had a blast the past few months, talking to folks from the business community and dissecting Kenton’s latest articles. (We’ve also talked quite a bit about bourbon. And gin. And margaritas.)
We started this podcast to highlight all the movement and growth happening in the NKY Metro’s business community. There are new businesses opening, huge developments coming, and plenty of exciting initiatives being unveiled, and it is fun to discuss them every week.
However, my favorite part of the podcast is talking to real business owners, and folks making a difference in the community. I always learn something, whether it’s about the difference between venture capital and private equity, or discovering how incubator kitchens work.
I’ve always been deeply curious about people, and business people in particular. After spending 20 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve realized the best way to learn is to talk to really smart, interesting people.
But I don’t know everyone in Northern Kentucky. So I know I’m missing out on lots of those really smart, interesting people.
That’s where you come in. I’m looking to be introduced to new folks who either own businesses in the NKY Metro, or are part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem here, and who would be great podcast guests.
So if you know someone (or if you are someone) who you think has something interesting to say to our listeners, send me their information! You can email it to me at [email protected] or call 859-878-1669. If I think they’d be a good guest, we’ll get them on the podcast in the future.
I can’t wait to see the interesting, new folks I get to meet from your networks. In the meantime, take a listen. You never know what you might learn.
