A donation from the family of Raygan Boothe officially established a namesake scholarship fund on March 27, according to a press release from Gateway Community & Technical College.
The Raygan Boothe scholarship will aid Gateway student recipients in covering tuition, book and other expenses related to their education.
Boothe was a student at Gateway’s massage therapy program before her untimely passing in a car accident in the fall of 2021.
“Raygan was an absolute light in this world, always giving herself to her family, friends and even strangers in need… This scholarship is a way to allow Raygan’s name and legacy to live on and allow someone else who may need a little extra pick-me-up in their journey to finally accomplish their dreams and academic goals,” said Sarah Hayes-Volmer, Boothe’s mother, in the press release.
Anyone interested in contributing to this fund, or establishing one of their own, may contact Gateway’s development department by calling (859) 442-1177 or emailing adrijana.kowatsch@kctcs.edu. Contributions are tax deductible, and all donations will benefit scholarship recipients.
