An industrial park in Walton has been selected for Duke Energy’s Site Readiness Program. The program aims to identify and prepare sites for economic development and then market them to firms nationwide.
The specific site is the Inland Industrial Park North, a roughly 50-acre site located off Old Lexington Pike in Walton. Duke Energy will work with engineering firm Bayer Becker and BE NKY to prepare and market the site. Duke has also identified another site for its program in Cincinnati.
“Economic development plays a critical role in strengthening our region’s future and creating opportunities for long-term prosperity,” said Amy Spiller, president of Duke Energy Ohio & Kentucky. “Duke Energy’s Site Readiness Program reflects our commitment to supporting growth by helping to attract investment in the communities we serve.”
