At a short meeting on Wednesday, Charlie Zimmerman, a member of the Bellevue business group In View, addressed city council to announce the group’s new website. He invited council and the public to visit and outlined several upcoming events and ways the community can support Bellevue businesses.
Zimmerman owns Three Spirits Tavern located in the central business district on Fairfield Avenue. His business is also within the Bellevue Entertainment District, known as the BED.
“It’s an honor to be here tonight to share some exciting updates about our community and the small businesses that help make Bellevue thrive,” said Zimmerman.
Zimmerman introduced In View’s new website visitbellevueky.com, which he said is “a great resource for our visitors and our current and prospective businesses in Bellevue.”
He also shared a new design for the cups given to patrons in the entertainment district with which they can carry alcoholic beverages anywhere within the district at designated times.
The district runs along Fairfield Avenue from Riviera Drive to O’Fallon. In Vue is working with the Dayton business group, to work out details for collaboration between the two cities’ entertainment districts.
In Dayton, Fairfield Avenue turns into Sixth Avenue. The Dayton entertainment district, known as the Rope Walk, starts at O’Fallon and runs along Sixth to Main Street. The proximity of the two districts and the history of collaboration between the two cities, creates a unique situation and an opportunity, Zimmerman said. Both cities’ business organizations are working out how the two districts will cooperate, from aligning hours to deciding on cup designs that complement each other.
