The Linden Grove Historic Cemetery and Arboretum in Covington will celebrate Arbor Day on April 27 by giving away free seedlings to community members.
The annual event, called Linden Day, aims to raise environmental awareness and stewardship. It’s put on in collaboration with the Covington Urban Forestry Board and Bartlett Tree Experts Cincinnati. The event will also feature live music and giveaways.
“We are excited to host Linden Day and provide our community with the opportunity to celebrate Arbor Day in a meaningful, accessible way,” said Emily Swisher, Chair of the Linden Grove Board of Overseers in a press release. “Trees play a crucial role in our ecosystem, and by giving away these tree seedlings, we are helping people not only beautify their own neighborhoods but contributing to a healthier environment for future generations.”
Seedlings will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of two trees per attendee. The event will take place at Linden Grove Cemetery and Arboretum on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
