A trio of organizations — the Ludlow Historic Society, Ludlow Independent Public Schools and the League of Women Voters — will host a forum for Ludlow candidates next week at Ludlow High School. The forum will feature city council and mayoral candidates. The public will be welcome.

“Schools are not only places where academic learning occurs, but also vibrant hubs where civic duty, engagement and democratic values are modeled for our students every day,” said Jason Steffen, superintendent of Ludlow Independent Schools. “We are thrilled to welcome candidates and community members into our doors to foster open, meaningful dialogue on the issues shaping the future of our city.”

The event will take place in the high school auditorium on Oct. 26. Doors will open at 6:05 p.m., and the public should enter through the main entrance on Adela Avenue. The council forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will last for an hour. The mayoral forum will follow.

Questions about the event should be directed to League of Women Voters First Vice President Becky Jones at becky.jones@lwvky.org.
