The Boone County Fiscal Court has approved hiring another emergency dispatcher, with officials expressing optimism regarding efforts to address the staffing shortage.
Olivia Stephenson’s appointment passed with a 4-0 vote.
“Olivia has CNA experience, also some college education in criminal justice,” Boone County Human Resources Director Lori Zombek said. “Olivia is very excited to join our team.”
The Public Safety Communications Center now has seven emergency dispatcher vacancies and a series of interviews with other candidates have been scheduled, Zombek said.
“We are hopeful with the staffing up there,” Zombek said.
