Chris Groh has been reappointed to the Walton Fire Protection District Board of Trustees. The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized Groh’s reappointment.
Groh was initially appointed to the panel in July 2020, fiscal court minutes noted, adding he replaced Anthony Becker – who served on the board for over 20 years.
Fire District Boards govern the affairs of the District; the Board is made up of seven members, with four elected by members of the District; and three appointed by the County Judge/Executive or Mayor in a consolidated local government, the Boone County website noted.
Board term length is three years, the Boone County website noted.
Walton Fire Protection District is part of a combined fire and rescue system in Boone County.
