The Kentucky League of Cities, a regional nonprofit and insurance provider that advocates for the financial interest of cities in the commonwealth, has awarded the Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police Department a Workers Compensation Safety Grant.
The grant is issued to member cities to help improve their safety infrastructure and reduce their insurance liability. The league has awarded more than “$6.3 million in liability and safety grants since 1999,” according to a press release from the league.
The department received $1,974 in grant funds.
“The Kentucky League of Cities has been an incredible partner in our efforts to increase the safety of our personnel. With an increase in traffic volume on the interstate and major roadways in our jurisdiction, traffic safety efforts have become a top priority,” Assistant Chief of Police Lt. Col. Brad Degenhardt said in the same press release.
