A Highland Heights City Council member who was arrested on Feb. 21 told police he sold small amounts of meth to two individuals once to twice a week, according to a police report.
Edward Fessler, who was charged with possession of controlled substances and trafficking, bonded out of the Campbell County Detention Center on Feb. 23, according to court records.
“He stated that he sold these individuals about a 1/2 gram of methamphetamine a week to every other week,” said the police report. “Fessler also stated he purchased 1/4 ounce of methamphetamine every two weeks.”
The Northern Kentucky Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Feb. 21 at Fessler’s home on Linet Avenue in Highland Heights after receiving a tip, according to the police report.
“During the search, NKDSF Agents located over 2 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, marijuana, LSD, and Psilocybin in Fessler’s residence,” the police report said.
Psilocybin is commonly referred to as schrooms.
Fessler, 43, has lived in Highland Heights for 18 years. He is serving his first term on the city council, which began in January.
