Update, Wednesday, August 10: Sherry Moore was found dead near Regency Manor.

Original report:

Kenton County Police are asking again for the public’s help in locating a woman who has been missing since last Thursday and the department is now asking for help from specific Independence residents.

Sherry Moore, 67, walked away from Regency Manor nursing home at 11725 Madison Pike in Independence. She is diabetic and a dementia patient, police said. She is currently without her medications.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, white gym shoes and a white jacket with a floral print shirt.

Following her disappearance on August 4, police searched the grounds near Regency Manor with the assistance of a K9 officer. A drone was later dispatched but no sign of Moore was found.

Police said that investigators have searched surrounding neighborhoods and have looked at residential and commercial video footage that did not aid in locating Moore. Previous addresses of Moore were also checked to no avail.

On Tuesday, the Kenton County Police Department asked residents of Independence in the area of Regency Manor to please check around their homes including in and around any buildings on their properties. Officers also asked that residents check around any water sources on their properties.

Lastly, police said that “if you locate anything suspicious, do not disturb it and immediately” call 911 or Kenton County Dispatch at 859-356-3191.
