Thursday kicked off the 32nd annual Newport Italianfest, which celebrates the historic city’s rich Italian heritage with food, live entertainment and scenic views of the Ohio River.
The fun-filled weekend kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony including Mayor Tom Guidugli Jr., city manager Tom Fromme and fellow Newport City commissioners.
From June 13 through 16, visitors can enjoy free admission to discover more than 10 local restaurants cuisine, such as Pompilio’s, Pagano’s Italian Grill and Strong’s Pizza.
