The Walton Fire Protection District is set to break ground on its new training center in September.
The new training center at 40 Depot Street will be part of the first phase of a larger Training Center designed to better educate current and future Fire and EMS personnel. The ceremony is slated for Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.
The facility will provide Walton firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and officers — both paid and volunteer — with a dedicated environment to learn, develop skills, and prepare for the challenges they face in the field. The center will enable the district to provide realistic hands-on training that supports tasks used in daily operations across the entire fire district.
The Walton Fire Protection District is inviting community members, elected officials, neighboring agencies, current and former members, and the media to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
