The reports of Frisch’s Big Boy’s death are greatly exaggerated.

Friday, Frisch’s Big Boy reopened its Fort Wright, Kentucky location at 494 Orphanage Road. The entire Frisch’s team at the Kyles Lane location will transfer to the new restaurant to continue serving the Fort Wright community.

The newest location of the fast-food chain — which was a long-shuttered Frisch’s that was remodeled and once again turned into a Frisch’s — is locally owned by Cheryl White, who worked for Frisch’s for more than 30 years.

Frisch’s used to be one of Cincinnati’s most popular chains until 2024, when the fast food chain shuttered 65 locations. It is a regional version of the nationwide chain Big Boy, and is the longest-operating Big Boy franchisee in the country.

The restaurant is best-known for its signature tartar sauce, which is spread on each of its burgers, and for its flavored syrups that combine with soft drinks to create once-unusual combinations like vanilla Coke or cherry Sprite.
