The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has announced the agenda for its eighth annual Workforce Best Practices Symposium.
The event will focus on workforce recruitment, retention and workplace culture. Attendees will choose four of 10 roundtable sessions led by regional professionals.
The event, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., will take place on March 11, at the Kenton County Public Library’s Erlanger Branch on 401 Kenton Lands Road.
“Every year, the Workforce Best Practices Symposium is an essential event for individuals who are eager to learn new ways to improve and build upon their organization’s hiring and talent retention strategies,” NKY Chamber VP of Talent Strategies Nancy Spivey said in a news release. “We know the battle for talent is an ongoing challenge for employers, and the symposium is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to share knowledge with one another and gather valuable insights that they can put into practice.”
Roundtable topics and presenters include:
- Strategic talent acquisition — Amy Hehman, Barnes Dennig
- Using plant data to develop workforce pipelines — Jesse Megenhardt, Amrize
- Gen Z workplace strategies — Samantha Kelly, Beyond Neurodiversity, and Debbie Smith, Easterseals Redwood
- AI and HR policies — Rene Normand, Dean Houston Inc.
- Leadership development — Gary Mertz, Cardinal Compensation & Performance Consulting
- Data and talent retention — Rachel Folz, Cerkl
- Workforce readiness in students — Dr. Kathy Burkhardt, Learning Grove/Navigo; Sonya Fultz, Adopt-A-Class; Carolyn Stewart, Campbell County Area Technology Center
- Talent recruitment and onboarding — Michael Stovall, Per Scholas
- Personal branding — David Noe, Payroll Partners
- Transparency in hiring — Dr. Denise Fritsch, Kenton County Public Library
Dr. Aaron Thompson, president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, will deliver the morning keynote. Dr. Abdullah Al Bahrani, associate dean at Northern Kentucky University’s Haile College of Business, will deliver the closing keynote.
The symposium is open to business owners, operations and human resources professionals, and organizational leaders.
Tickets cost $50 for NKY Chamber members, $70 for nonmembers, $40 for NKYP members, and are free with an NKYP Event Pass. Registration includes a continental breakfast.
