A new coffee shop is coming to Covington’s MainStrasse Village neighborhood.
From the ownership of KungFood Chu’s AmerAsia comes Kung Brew, which is set to open in 2024. Located at 640 Main Street, the coffee shop will open in the former building occupied by Bean Haus Cafe & Bakery, which closed this past June.
The coffee shop’s opening was announced on KungFood’s official Facebook page. There is already signage posted in the window advertising that the cafe will serve coffee and tea.
The property was purchased by Amerasia Cafe & Bar LLC on July 11 for $390,000, according to Kenton County property records. Originally constructed in 1909, the 2,520 square foot red brick building is two and a half stories tall. Before Bean Haus opened in 2019, the building was home to Groove Coffee House & World Headquarters.
