The Highlands High School Alumni
Association will host the 2014 Welcome Back to the Nest dinner on April 26.
The dinner will once again be held
at the Highland Country Club and it will start at 6 p.m. for cocktails with
the dinner to follow.
Everyone in attendance will receive
an alumni gift.
The guest speaker will be Geoffrey
Mearns, and the alumni award winners for 2014 are the following:
Alumnus of the Year: Floyd “Bubs”
Basham
Highland’s Teacher of the Year:
Ahren Wagner
Outstanding Middle School Teacher
of the Year: Beth Rowland
Outstanding Elementary School
Teacher of the Year: Karma Klingenberg
Linda Slone with the alumni
association said table sponsors are needed. The sponsorship levels are:
$100 level patrons/sponsors receive
one free ticket to the event and advertising in all event communications,
including flyers, programs, social network feeds, etc.
$500 level patron/sponsors receive two free tickets
to the event, the same advertising available to $100 level sponsors, and
additional advertising at the event (on tables, signs throughout the Country
Club, etc.)
Along with the Welcome Back to the
Nest dinner, the alumni association also hosts the Tail feather party during
Homecoming Weekend to welcome back all the HHS Alumni. They sponsor “We
the people” and the HHS After Prom.
Tickets for the dinner are $30 in
advance and $35 the day of the event.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. If you are unable to make it to the dinner,
you can make a donation toward the dinner and “We the People,” a student group
which demonstrates the academic excellence of HHS.
