COVINGTON, KY – November 3, 2026 – Calvary Christian School has established the Calvary Legacy Endowment Fund at Horizon Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky, creating a lasting investment in the school’s mission of equipping the next generation to impact the world for Christ.

The fund was created to strengthen the long-term financial sustainability of Calvary Christian School, providing a foundation of support that will help preserve its mission and ensure future generations of students continue to receive an excellent, Christ-centered education. Through the endowment, distributions will help support faculty compensation and benefits, professional development, and advanced educational opportunities. By investing in the growth and well-being of its educators, Calvary Christian School aims to attract, develop, and retain highly qualified teachers who make a lasting impact on students academically, socially, athletically, and spiritually.

The investment comes at an important time for the school. For the 2026-2027 school year, the average teacher salary in Kenton County is nearly $71,000, compared to just under $38,000 at Calvary Christian School. The endowment will help address this disparity and provide additional resources to support the dedicated faculty and staff who bring the school’s mission to life. “I have been a part of the CCS community for 30 years as a coach, a teacher, the high school principal, and now the headmaster. My wife, son, and daughter-in-law are all graduates. I have seen firsthand the impact that this institution has had on the lives of students and their families,” said Dr. Bill Dickens, headmaster of Calvary Christian School. “My hope is that this endowment
will help to support this place for years to come. My dream is to sit in the audience one day and watch my granddaughters walk across the stage at their high school graduation.”

“Strong schools are built on the dedication of exceptional educators, and investing in those who shape the next generation is an investment in our entire community,” said Nancy Grayson, President and CEO of Horizon Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky. “The Calvary Legacy Endowment Fund is a wonderful example of how thoughtful philanthropy can create lasting stability and ensure that important missions continue to thrive for generations to come.”

The Calvary Legacy Endowment Fund represents a commitment to faithful stewardship, ensuring the school has the resources and stability to continue its work for generations to come. Additionally, The Calvary Legacy Endowment Fund is an investment in the future of Calvary Christian School and its mission of “Equipping the Next Generation to Impact the World for Christ,” Through the faithful generosity of those who believe in Calvary Christian School’s mission, we can preserve our legacy, strengthen our ministry, and ensure that future generations of students are equipped academically, socially, athletically, and spiritually to impact the world for Christ.
