Newport and FC Cincinnati held the grand opening of a mini soccer pitch in Bernadette Watkins Park on July 23.
The soccer pitch, essentially a mini soccer field with turf, is located at 401 W 6th St. FC Cincinnati built the pitch. The city plans to host educational programming there, involve the schools and have it open to the public.
