The Ignite Institute will host the Northern Kentucky Education Council and Northern Kentucky Cooperative Education Services’ Fall Convening event for 2025.
“This gathering is about more than education policy—it is about economic resilience,” according to a press release from the NKY Education Council. “Education remains Northern Kentucky’s strongest asset for driving today’s economic development and securing future prosperity. By equipping students with grit, resiliency and academic standards, we strengthen our region’s competitiveness both nationally and globally.”
The council is a lobbying group that advocates for various educational policies in the region, particularly as it relates to economics. The cooperative, on the other hand, provides professional services to member districts in its service area; it is one of several cooperatives throughout the commonwealth.
Key highlights of the event will be speeches from Campbell County Judge/Executive Steve Pendry, who will speak on “thriving communities,” according to the release, and Kentucky Commissioner of Education Robbie Fletcher, who will speak on “thriving classrooms.”
The event will also see the unveiling of the NKY Educational Council’s K-12 Elevate Scorecard, which will offer a “regional message affirming that education sustains a robust economic engine.”
The event will take place on Sept. 29. Learn more and RSVP to the event at the Northern Kentucky Education Council’s Eventbrite page.
