A woman has died after a head-on crash in Florence Sunday morning, according to police.

Megan Ruoff, 34, was driving a vehicle traveling westbound on U.S. 42 before she crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a vehicle heading eastbound just after 10 a.m., police said.

Ruoff, of Florence, was transported to St. Elizabeth in Florence, where she later died.

The driver of the other car was brought to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where police say they are in stable condition.

The Florence Police Accident Reconstruction Team will conduct further investigation.
