Covington Police are still looking for the suspect in the Sunday morning robbery at the BP gas station on Winston Avenue in Latonia.
According to a police report, the store clerk told investigators that a black man covered in all-black clothing entered the store just after 7 a.m. and implied that he had a weapon.
The clerk emptied two cash registers and was then made to lie down in a back room while the suspect left.
The man fled with cash, multiple packs of Newport cigarettes, and two rolls of lottery tickets, according to the police report.
Investigators were seen looking for the suspect in the area around the nearby Kroger store, but even the use of a K9 proved fruitless and the suspect remains at large.
The total amount of cash an items stolen amounted to more than $1,000, police told The River City News.
If you know anything, call police.
