A Campbell Co. Police officer is out of the hospital after an underage driver in a stolen car crashed into her cruiser.
Media reports indicate that a teen driver, under the legal driving age, stole a car in Cincinnati and was spotted by Newport Police on I-471 headed into Kentucky.
The teen was driving at a high rate of speed. Ultimately, the the teen lost control of the vehicle in the roundabout on Nunn Drive at Northern Kentucky University, jumped the curb of the median, crashing into a Campbell County Police cruiser operated by Officer Amanda Bray, 24.Â
Bray was not pursuing the boy but had attempted to prevent other drivers from coming into the path of the pursuit by activating her emergency lights and stopping in the lane of traffic just prior to the roundabout.
