The Holmes Bulldogs dropped their fourth straight game on Saturday and have now lost eight of their last nine games.
Mason County rolled into Covington and left with a 51 to 46 victory.
Holmes led by as many as 7 in the game but Mason Co. answered with a 10-0 run to take a two-point lead at halftime.Â
The Bulldogs shot 4 for 43 from the floor in the second half.Â
Holmes senior Kerez Race led with 20 points.
Holmes falls to 4-9 on the season and will face Ryle (6-8) on Tuesday before a date with Newport Central Catholic (8-6) in the Bluegrass Classic at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights.
