Cincinnati-based local injury law firm Lawrence & Associates is providing free $25 Uber vouchers for Independence Day to help prevent impaired drivers from getting on the roads.
With plenty of parties and alcohol on Independence Day, Lawrence & Associates is encouraging people to plan their transportation in advance.
The Uber vouchers will be available to residents 21 and older and can be used between 12 a.m. on July 4 and 12 a.m. on July 5. Registration for the free vouchers is now open on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one per household.
The move is part of the firm’s “Arrive Alive” campaign, which it typically offers on New Year’s Eve. The expansion of the initiative to Independence Day follows two successful New Year’s Eve “Arrive Alive” campaigns that attracted more than 2,000 registrations for free Uber rides.
“The Fourth of July is meant to be a celebration with family and friends, but too often impaired driving turns celebrations into tragedies,” Lawrence & Associates Managing Partner Justin Lawrence said in a news release. “As we commemorate America’s 250th birthday, we want to encourage everyone to plan ahead, make responsible choices, and get home safely. If providing a free Uber ride helps prevent one impaired-driving accident or saves even one life, it’s worth it.”
Lawrence & Associates has offices in both Cincinnati and Fort Mitchell. The Uber vouchers are available to anyone in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky during the aforementioned time period.
