15 North has announced their closure.

After purchasing the building and renovating the space to bring a new concept to Fort Thomas, 15 North opened on May 13, 2015.

The restaurant published the following statement on their Facebook page this morning.

15 North is closing permanently on Tuesday, 29 November.  We look forward to continuing to serve the community members and residents, however, our children and family time continue to be our priority.  Please come by and bid farewell to our staff and family. We have planned events posted on Facebook for November and we look forward to seeing you at 15 North.  We will honor any paid vouchers (e.g., gift certificates and Internet purchased coupons) until 29 November.  No BOGO coupons please.  We will be open for dinner service only.

Food critic, Polly Campbell, gave the restaurant 3 out of 5 stars, and wrote the following in July of 2015.

“Fort Thomas is such a pretty town that if I lived there, I’d be reluctant to go to dinner somewhere else. But the Northern Kentucky town has had a hard time keeping restaurants. The ones that survive are the very casual sort. I suppose that’s because outsiders don’t wander in: the area isn’t far from Downtown, but isn’t on the way anywhere else.



The neighborhood has a chance right now to give a new restaurant, 15 North, some support, and it serves pizza good enough to attract outsiders, too.”



For now, a cornerstone property in Fort Thomas’ Central Business District will be permanently closed on November 29. Warner’s Restaurant, Pergola, Mio’s and now 15 North have all opened and now closed in the same location.

Editor’s Note: This is a sad day for Fort Thomas and in particularly for the owners of the business. Let us please be mindful that they invested their time and money in our community and took a risk. Not an easy thing to do.

It did not work out, but they are our community members and friends, so please be respectful through your comments.

I believe it’s a standup move for them to announce their closure to allow their employees ample opportunities to find employment.

We, as a community, have an opportunity to say goodbye to them properly. So please, go buy a pizza, a salad, a beer, before they close their doors forever.
