Shoe company SKECHERS and Shoe Carnival have teamed up with CEI Sports Inc., the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission and K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers charitable organization to provide new shoes to children in need. Over 1,200 pairs of BOBS from SKECHERS shoes will be donated to local children during the Cincy Sports Fest at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center on Sunday, July 12 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Baseball greats such as Pete Rose will be in attendance to help distribute shoes. Mascots from the Florence Freedom baseball team – Liberty, Belle and Wally the Water Tower – will also be on hand to help children decorate their BOBS shoes at SKECHERS-hosted decorating stations. In addition to new pairs of shoes, children and their families will receive complimentary refreshments and access to the baseball convention courtesy of CEI Sports Inc. Vouchers for access to the Covington Bicentennial Celebration including ferris wheel rides will also be distributed, courtesy of the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission.

Covington Mayor Sherry Carran and members of the COvington City Commission will also be in attendance to celebrate the Cincy Sports Fest and the Covington Bicentennial Celebration.

Since the BOBS from SKECHERS program launched in 2011, SKECHERS has donated more than 12 million pairs of new shoes to children in need. Partnering with Head Start programs, education foundations, homeless shelters, disaster relief, and 501(c)(3) organizations, SKECHERS assists children and families in communities across the United States and around the world.
