A Covington firefighter was injured on duty late Tuesday night.
The department responded to a house fire on Berseem Court which is in the Clover Meadows subdivision off Taylor Mill Road.Â
The firefighter, who has not been publicly identified, was transported from the scene with non-life threatening injuries. After 1 a.m., Jimmy Adams, president of the firefighters union, tweeted that he was at the hospital “looking after an injured brother”.

The house on Berseem was heavily damaged by fire and smoke and the family was displaced.
