Northern Kentucky University has received a gold rating from Military Friendly, a organization that surveys and rates institutions and employers on their willingness and programing effectiveness for both veterans and active-duty service members and their families, for 2026.
Gold ranks are conferred upon institutions that score within the top 10% of the organization’s surveys.
“At NKU, our military-affiliated students are known, supported and connected from day one,” said Rusty Mardis, Assistant Director of NKU’s Veterans Resource Station. “We’ve built our program around their needs, and we’re committed to helping them succeed every step of the way.”
“Being named a Military Friendly School with Gold distinction reflects who we are as an institution,” said NKU President Dr. Cady Short-Thompson. “We are focused on access, support and outcomes and ensuring those who have served, and their families, have the opportunity to achieve their goals at NKU.”
