With just a few days left in the school year, Newport Central Catholic high school has announced both its valedictorian and salutatorian, as well as its scholarship recipients for the 2015-201 school year.
This year’s valedictorian is John Paul Broering. Broering was a member of the Academic Team all four years at NCC and was captain his junior and senior years. Broering was also a member of Mathletes this year. He was a part of the cast in the school’s production of the musicals Hairspray, Shrek, and Oklahoma and a member of the National Honor Society the past two years. Broering has also spent the past seven years volunteering as a teacher’s aid at Saint Thomas’ Parish Religious Educational Program. Broering will attend the University of Louisville next year.
