Three Northern Kentucky bridges are up for routine inspections by the state, and traffic will be affected.

On Thursday, September 4, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., a single lane closure will be in place on the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge (AKA Big Mac Bridge) in Newport. The inspection will affect northbound and southbound traffic.

Crews return on Wednesday, September 17, between 9 a.m. and noon when the northbound passing lane will be closed for inspection.

The Brent Spence Bridge in Covington will be checked out for thirteen days between September 8 and September 21 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Single lane closures will be in place for the inspections.

On September 15, between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. the northbound “slow lane” and the Fourth Street entrance ramp will be closed for inspection.

State crews will also check out the Carroll Cropper Bridge (I-275) in Boone County on September 10, between 9 a.m. and noon. The eastbound “slow lane” will be closed for inspection.
