Two planters stolen from the Helentown neighborhood were recovered by neighbors and Covington Police on Saturday afternoon, less than a day after they were stolen.
The theft was reported early Saturday morning.
According to resident Jennifer Rawers, the planters were found in a yard just a block away. “On behalf of the neighborhood, I would like to thank the officers that helped retrieve the planters from the property owners,” she said. Not only were the two stolen on Friday night or Saturday morning found – but so was one taken last year.
There is no word yet on any charges associated with the theft.
Meanwhile, the search continues for the teen vandals that destroyed multiple planters in Peaselburg.
