Contractors will be installing traffic counting loops at locations on I-75 between the Fifth Street exit in Covington and the Dixie Highway ramps. Work will be performed during nighttime hours as weather and event schedules permit, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet – District 6 Office announced.

Lane closures will be in place and long delays may be expected during the following hours:

– Southbound MP 187.1 – 8 PM Wednesday, April 30th to 5 AM Thursday, May 1st

– Southbound MP 188.2 – 8 PM Wednesday, April 30th to 5 AM Thursday, May 1st

– Southbound MP 190.3 – 8 PM Thursday, May 1st to 5 AM Friday, May 2nd

– Southbound MP 189.3 – 8 PM Thursday, May 1st to 5 AM Friday, May 2nd

– Southbound MP 190.9 – 6 PM Sunday, May 11th to 5 AM Monday, May 12th.

Additionally, the Kenton County maintenance crew will be patching potholes along I-75 and I-275 beginning at 4 a.m. Thursday until 6:30 a.m. Drivers should be on the lookout for work crews, lane closures, and equipment during those hours.
