– The good news? The Cinco de Mayo Bash at Anita’s Mexican Grill hosted by Fort Thomas Matters was an unabashed success. The place was absolutely full. There was a wait to get in almost all night. The drinks were flowing, the food was amazing and The Carter New Band sponsored by Tristate Fireworks were on point. All this with a miserable, rainy, ugly Sunday afternoon.
The bad news? Cinco de Mayo fell on a Sunday this year and it is now Monday. Van Damme!

– Stephanie Class will be going to the Caketown Comedy Jam2 this weekend. It’s hosted by Teri Foltz, who also happened to teach me English when I was a Senior at Highlands. She dun gud.
It also features Michael Rudolph, who was named Funniest Man in Cincinnati a few years back and is someone I “met” on Twitter and now can call a buddy. Weird how the world works now.
The event will take place Friday and Saturday at 8:00 at the Village Players Theatre and proceeds will benefit the Village Players and the Fort Thomas Women’s Club.
