The Awesome Collective of Covington continues to spread “awesome” across the city. The latest project is a wheat paste mural that now adorns the wall of Glenn O. Swing Elementary School on West Nineteenth Street in Peaselburg.
With the grassroots organization’s “Covington Awesome Since 1815” logo in the middle, the mural boasts hundreds of small pieces of artwork created by the young students at Glenn O.
Those students were tasked with creating a piece of art that reflects what they think is awesome about their community.
The Awesome Collective has spent this week working at the school adhering the mural to the wall. Most of the work is now complete and you can see the results of their labor in the photos below.
