Florence seeks volunteers for 2024 Memorial Day Parade

The City of Florence is seeking volunteers for its 2024 Memorial Day Parade, which will take place on Monday, May 27, starting at 10 a.m. at Boone County High School. The city needs help with the following positions: parade line-ups, check in, parade staging and pace cooridination. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the city’s Community Services Coordinator, Victoria Riley.

Florence police No Shave November fundraiser yields $2,608

Florence officer completes basic training

Florence Police Department officer Austin Dupree recently completed basic training at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training facility, the Florence Police Department said.  Dupree completed a 20-week, 800-hour course of recruit-level instruction as a member of Class 541 and received physical fitness achievement recognition while in the academy.
