The Cincinnati Reds have signed Florence Y’alls relief pitcher Logan Campbell.

Campbell was purchased by the Reds after making six appearances in his first season with the Y’alls. In 14 innings pitched, Campbell was 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and 16 strikeouts. He allowed 12 hits and three earned runs and walked four.

The Grand Rapids, Michigan native was originally signed by the Minnesota Twins in 2021, but injuries led to his release two years later. Flashing a mid-90’s fastball and a couple of solid complimentary pitches, he caught the eyes of Y’alls Manager, Chad Rhoades.

“Logan was a terrific professional example of how to go about your daily business,” Roades said, “He was a great competitor on the field and had high-positive energy off the field. We are happy to have been a small part of his long career ahead.”

Campbell shared his gratitude to the Y’alls organization.

“I just want to say thank you to the organization, the fans, and especially this team… the opportunity to move on in my career and play for the Cincinnati Reds is another dream come true,” Campbell said.

Campbell played collegiately at University of Charleston in West Virginia for two seasons, logging 91 innings with a 13-1 record and a 2.47 ERA for the Golden Eagles.
