One person is dead following a collision on Petersburg Road in Boone County Friday afternoon.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, a car driven by the victim, 20-year-old Aiden Wagner of Burlington, was traveling westbound near the 3500 block of Petersburg Road when he lost control of the car and traveled into the eastbound lane, colliding with a minivan.
Wagner was pronounced dead at the scene, and deputies reported that the other involved party sustained minor injuries and “refused medical treatment after being extricated.”
